Chris Barnes specializes in research to develop strategic initiatives aimed at resolving critical issues. He blends his expertise in public opinion and policy research to advise business leaders. His projects and studies have the goal of producing actionable information. Prior to joining Pulsar Research and Consulting, Barnes helped launch the Department of Public Policy research unit at the University of Connecticut, taught in the UCONN Masters in Survey Research program, co-founded the Center for Survey Research and Analysis, and also performed policy research for the Connecticut State Senate. Barnes holds a B.A. in history from Kenyon College as well as an M.S. in political science from the University of Connecticut.

Greg Bettinelli is the executive vice president of business development and strategy at Live Nation. He is responsible for strategic direction and business partnerships for Live Nation's ticketing business. Prior to joining Live Nation, Bettinelli held a number of positions at eBay, including senior director of business development at StubHub. Before transitioning to StubHub, Bettinelli led eBay.com's event tickets and media businesses.

Bettinelli's extensive background includes positions at HealthAllies, Inc., Stephens & Partners, and Santa Anita Park. Bettinelli received a B.A. in political science from the University of San Diego and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Andrew Blachman is the general manager of GET ME IN!, a subsidiary of Ticketmaster and the first company dedicated to an open marketplace for tickets in Europe. Blachman joined GET ME IN! as CEO in 2006 and led the company’s sale to Ticketmaster in early 2008. Previously, Blachman was a consultant to StubHub and held a number of positions for WideRay (now Qwikker), a mobile content delivery company backed by Sequoia Capital, including European director and vice president of sales and business development. Earlier in his career, Blachman was an investment banker in Goldman Sachs’ high technology group in Silicon Valley and Hong Kong.

Dustin Brighton is a senior manager of government relations for eBay, Inc. He is based out of Washington D.C. Prior to joining eBay, Brighton was director of government affairs – Southeast United States for Microsoft Corporation. Brighton’s other experiences include state government affairs manager for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., CEO of the Arkansas Gas Association and vice president of the Arkansas Grocers and Retail Merchants Association. Brighton holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and an M.P.A. from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.

Dave Brooks is an editor and writer for Venues Today, a California-based trade publication covering the live music and sports industries. Brooks works with venue managers from around the world on issues affecting the industry, including the realignment of the ticketing business. He has covered the deregulation of the secondary market and new sponsorship deals for companies like StubHub and RazorGator. Prior to joining Venues Today, Brooks worked as business reporter for the Los Angeles Times Company and wrote for several regional magazines in Orange County, Calif. Brooks attended UC Santa Cruz where he earned a B.A. in political science.

Graham Burns is a data and secure communications consultant and a specialist in secure fund transactions. His experience in online secure transactions gave Burns his introduction to the ticketing market more than six years ago. Working closely with his clients gives him a solid platform from which to judge consumer satisfaction within the secure gateway field. Burns is now the full-time chairman of the Association of Secondary Ticket Agents (ASTA). He administers the day-to-day operations and taking advice from the Office of Fair Trading, the Advertising Standards Council, Trading Standards, BERR (formerly the Department of Trade and Industry) and many other consumer groups.

Braden Cox is policy counsel at NetChoice, a national coalition of online and e-commerce businesses that promotes choice, convenience and commerce on the Net. He organizes efforts to support legislation that liberalizes ticket reselling and oppose price caps and other regulations that impede the ticket market. Cox has significant experience on a number of technology-related public policy issues. He also gained valuable insights while working for a think tank in Washington, DC. In addition, he has administrative and civil litigation law experience, and was in-house counsel for a start-up software venture. Cox earned his undergraduate degree in finance and his J.D. from the University of Georgia.

Bill Dorsey is the executive director of the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD). The ALSD was established in 1990 by Dorsey and covers the $10 billion premium seat industry. He founded the Association with 13 core members. Today, the ALSD numbers more than 800 facility and affiliate memberships. It includes nearly every major professional pro sport venue and team in the United States. The ALSD holds an annual conference and tradeshow, which celebrated its 18th year in 2008. Derek Palmer is the fueling force behind Tickets.com's operational and sales organizations. As the CCO, Palmer has found ways to streamline and improve efficiencies within the organization. He has been involved with client support, training and installations, technical service, consumer services, professional services and strategic operations.

Making internal history with new client integrations, Palmer has perfected the set-up process by aligning internal resources and developing the appropriate execution teams, launching clients such as the Washington Nationals. Additionally, Palmer has major event experience working as ticketing manager for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia and as call center trainer for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA.

Dan Pullium serves as the director of government relations at TicketNetwork and has over a decade’s worth of legislative and political experience. Prior to joining TicketNetwork, Pullium worked in the Connecticut General Assembly as a policy analyst and researcher, and served as the director of computer services. Pullium’s legislative work encompassed issues ranging from identity theft and gun safety to consumer protection. He also spearheaded the setup and operations of the Senate Majority Office’s redistricting efforts in 2000. As a campaign staffer and volunteer, Pullium managed numerous campaign-related activities as well.

Don Vaccaro is the founder and president of TicketNetwork – a multi-fold company that boasts the leading software in the ticketing industry, Point-of-Sale™ 8.0, and the largest online exchange in the country. Vaccaro has more than 25 years of experience in the secondary ticket market, including 10 years in industry-related software development. He currently serves as president and CEO of Metro Entertainment, one of the largest ticket brokerage firms in the U.S. Prior to that, Vaccaro was president of TicketWorld of Springfield, Mass. He is a founding member of the Connecticut Ticket Association, and also served as its president. In addition, he founded the Massachusetts Ticket Brokers Association and was its first president.

Viveca Woods provides strategic direction for media exposure of TicketNetwork and its subsidiaries. With almost two decades of experience in the public relations and media industries, Woods provides an effective approach to crafting enterprise messaging and facilitating exposure in the press. She has enabled numerous enterprises garner exposure in leading newspapers, magazines and television outlets.

Prior to dedicating her skills towards the public relations industry, Woods worked at the assignment desks of two national networks, ABC News and Fox Newschannel as well as a syndicated television station, WPIX-TV, located in New York City. She holds an M.S. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

Mark Wienkes joined Goldman Sachs in October 2002 and covers 18 companies within the media sector. Specifically, coverage is focused on the diversified entertainment companies, video game publishers, live entertainment (concerts), terrestrial and satellite radio broadcasters, and the outdoor advertising companies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Wienkes worked at Salomon Smith Barney. Before that he accumulated eight years of structured finance experience. Wienkes graduated cum laude from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in finance and accounting. He also graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Maureen Andersen is the interim president of the International Ticketing Association (INTIX) and provides leadership, stability and continuity through this transitional and growth phase of the Association. Andersen manages the day-to-day operations, oversees all activities associated with conferences and educational programs, and deploys the strategic objectives of the board of directors. Andersen has been an active member of INTIX for 22 years and is a four-time conference chair, a frequent conference and workshop presenter, served on the board of directors for 17 years, including two terms as chair, is recipient of the Box Office and Box Office Manager of the Year Award, and was awarded the Patricia G. Spira Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

Ryan Linton, vice president of business development Americas, is responsible for running GlobalCollect’s U.S. office which covers the North and South American markets. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as director of financial business development at Blockbuster.com, where he was in charge of modernizing their billing system as well as managing the successful launch of their in-store kiosks for digital download. Linton started off his career in e-commerce as a senior analyst with Authorize.net, a payment gateway that rapidly expanded to serve tens of thousands of online merchants during his tenure. His many consulting assignments have made him an expert in the global payment services landscape.

Karen Sullivan has been with the Meadowlands Box Office since 1979. The Izod Center and Giants Stadium venues are home to the NFL Giants and Jets, the NBA Nets and the MLS Red Bulls. During her tenure, the Meadowlands has hosted numerous major events such as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Finals, the NBA and NHL All Star Games, both Men’s and Women’s World Cup Soccer Tournaments, hundreds of concerts and family shows, as well as the Papal Mass at Giants Stadium in 1995. Sullivan is active in INTIX, The International Ticketing Association, serving as a Board member for six years and as chair of the board in 2006. She is also an active member of the regional ticketing group Tri-Tix and the ADA Consortium.

David Abouchar has more than 12 years of management and consulting experience. Prior to joining ControlScan, he was a manager at BearingPoint Consulting. While at BearingPoint, Abouchar worked on a wide range of strategic and tactical engagements and was awarded BearingPoint's 2007 Quarterly Beacon Award. Before BearingPoint, Abouchar held project management and operational roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. While working in an operational capacity, he also earned the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Customer Service Award of Excellence. Abouchar graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in business administration from Lynn University. He also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Joe Cohen is the founder and CEO of Seatwave. He started the company in May 2006 and launched it in February 2007. Seatwave has since become a market leader. Cohen brings broad experience of the consumer Internet space, having led three start-ups in the past ten years. Before founding Seatwave, Cohen started and ran the international division of Match.com, the global leader in online dating. As COO he oversaw the development and operations of the business in 35 countries and 18 languages. Cohen became a thought-leader on global dating and consumer Internet services. From 1999 until 2001, Cohen was vice president and general manager of Ticketmaster.com for Europe.

They first listed concert tickets and then expanded their inventory to include antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, political memorabilia, art and collector automobiles. They have had many articles published in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Business Week and Entrepreneur Magazine. They have also given several interviews on television stations such as CNN International, CNBC and Time Warner. Levine and Cooper work with local charities to help raise money by using eBay. They are also much in demand as eBay lecturers.

Ken Davenport was recently called the “P.T. Barnum of Off Broadway” in the New York Times, featured on a national commercial for the iPhone and named one of Crain's Magazine’s 40 Under 40. He is the only independent producer to have three shows running simultaneously Off Broadway. Davenport is currently adapting the novel and film “Somewhere in Time” into a Broadway musical. He is also filming a documentary on one of the top unsigned rock bands in the country, Red Wanting Blue. Davenport runs several theatrical Web sites including BestOfOffBroadway.com and the new social networking site BroadwaySpace.com.

Janette is the director of ticketing services for Type A Marketing, overseeing ticket inventory management for single ticket and group sales ticket initiatives. She created this position in December 2006 for Alan Wasser Associates, working on the Broadway productions of The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Roush comes to Type A Marketing following eight years with Broadway.com and Theatre Direct International, where she served as director of marketing and was responsible for the Broadway Marketing Cooperative, a program created to generate tourism sales for Broadway. She holds a B.A. in communications in fine/performing arts from Saint Louis University and an M.F.A. in performing arts management from Brooklyn College.

Leonard L. Gordon serves as the director of the Northeast Regional Office of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where he supervises the investigation and litigation of both consumer protection and antitrust matters. Gordon joined the FTC in 2005 as a senior attorney. He has since led numerous antitrust and consumer protection investigations. He became the assistant director in August 2007 and the director in March 2008. Gordon regularly speaks to legal, business and consumer groups on both antitrust and consumer protection topics. Gordon joined the FTC after 17 years as an associate and then a partner with the firm now known as DLA Piper. Gordon graduated from the George Washington University Law School with honors.

Gretchen Shugart is CEO of TheaterMania.com, Inc., which owns and operates OvationTix, a Web-based ticketing system used by hundreds of arts organizations and events nationwide, and www.theatermania.com, an editorial Web site that markets and promotes theater and the performing arts. Prior to joining TheaterMania, Gretchen had an 18-year career in finance and investment banking advisory. Shugart has a B.S. in management and economics from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She also serves on a number of not-for-profit and foundation boards.

He is the founder of TSE Sports & Entertainment, a global leader in the world of sports travel experiences. Tuchman is also the author of several books. TSE Sports & Entertainment has been listed in the annual Inc. 500 list of America’s Fastest Growing Privately-Held Companies and as one of the Top 100 Promotion Agencies in Promo Magazine. In February 2006, Tuchman sold the majority of TSE Sports & Entertainment to North America Sports Media, Inc. Tuchman graduated from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

David Touhey came to Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center in March of 2004 and was named to his current position as vice president of booking and entertainment in October of 2007. Touhey is responsible for managing the entire event calendar for Verizon Center, as well as the world-class events hosted at the arena on an annual basis. Touhey aggressively books acts to perform in the facility and ensures they are properly marketed and communicated to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He currently serves on the executive committee of Arena Network and is chair of the International Association of Assembly Manager’s Membership Committee. He also serves on the Association’s Industry Affairs Council.

Joe Freeman is senior vice president and assistant general counsel at Ticketmaster. He leads Ticketmaster's North American government relations program, and among his other legal duties, directs the company’s intellectual property efforts. During more than two years at Ticketmaster, he has also led the company's global corporate communications team. Prior to joining Ticketmaster, Freeman practiced law for more than 12 years as an antitrust and intellectual property attorney, and was introduced to the ticketing business through the successful defense of Ticketmaster against antitrust claims brought by Tickets.com earlier this decade.

Eric Fisher is a New York-based staff writer for SportsBusiness Journal, the leading national weekly magazine covering the sports industry and a flagship publication of the Street & Smith's Sports Group. Fisher focuses on technology, online media, and Major League Baseball, and has covered many facets of the ticketing business, including eBay's acquisition of StubHub, MLB Advanced Media's acquisition of Tickets.com, and the growing embrace of individual teams and collegiate programs toward the secondary market. Fisher joined SBJ in 2005 after a nine-year stint with The Washington Times, where he served as the newspaper's sports business reporter, and is a regular moderator at SBJ's many industry conferences. He is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in upstate New York.

Eddy Martinez has served in a variety of roles including CTO, COO, Project Manager and Network & Systems Administrator. He has hands-on experience with the large scale deployment of enterprise systems in multiple data centers across the country. Martinez has instituted disaster recovery programs protecting multiple terabytes of information for publicly traded companies. Recent projects include high availability Web sites, geographic load balancing, instant fail-over data centers, and recovery systems. His current projects are in the mobile space working with Apple's iPhone. Furrysoft.com delivered the first e-commerce app on the iphone that allows a consumer to complete a transaction within an application. Furrysoft.com works with numerous brands and partners acting as a behind-the-scenes development firm.

Jeff Kline delivers many years of sales, marketing and organizational expertise to Veritix. He spent fourteen years in various senior management roles with Ticketmaster, and served as executive vice president in the office of the chairman. During his time at Ticketmaster, Kline was instrumental in helping the company grow and expand into new areas of business and services. After leaving Ticketmaster, Kline was named vice president/chief of staff at Media Live International. Prior to that Kline spent four years at TBA Global Events as the company’s senior executive vice president of business affairs. Kline is a Colorado native and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado.

Frederick Vallaeys is the Google's AdWords evangelist. In this role, he helps advertisers learn about which Google products best to support their marketing goals. He also represents the needs of advertisers to the engineering and product management teams. He joined the company in 2002 to help bring AdWords to the Dutch and Belgian markets. Since then, he has been involved in the design of many of AdWords' core features in addition to those related to new and traditional media. Prior to Google, Vallaeys was an engineer at Sapient as well as a part-time wedding photographer who found new customers through AdWords. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Chuck La Vallee’s primary focus is to engage the music industry with StubHub through partnership agreements. Since joining StubHub in 2006 La Vallee has focused his efforts on integrating all the elements of the concert touring industry into the secondary ticket market. StubHub believes artists, their representatives as well as promoters should be able to generate income from a burgeoning industry. La Vallee’s efforts were realized quickly with signing of The Rowdy Frynds Tour of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr. This deal was just the tip of the ice berg, since 2006 StubHub has had numerous high profile music partnerships.

Since his election to the New York State Assembly in 1990, Joseph D. Morelle has authored more than 100 laws and established himself as a leader on the issues that matter most to New Yorkers: economic growth and job creation, crime prevention, and ensuring the health and safety of our most vulnerable citizens. One of the Assembly's most senior members, Morelle chairs the standing Committee on Insurance and is a member of the powerful Rules and Ways and Means committees. He also holds assignments on the standing committees for Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry, and Higher Education.
