Joris DrayerAfter four seasons with the Oakland Athletics, Dr. Joris Drayer completed his Ph.D. at the University of Northern Colorado in 2007. His doctoral degree culminated with a dissertation which examined the strategic interactions between the primary and secondary ticket markets in the NFL. Currently a professor at the University of Memphis, Drayer has expanded on this topic area and now conducts research covering a variety of ticketing-related topic areas which include price determination and demand estimates in the secondary market, the development of competitive strategies in primary and secondary ticketing, consumer perceptions of price and value, and further analysis of the interaction between primary and secondary ticket markets. Drayer also conducts research on consumer behavior, particularly in relation to fantasy sports participation. In addition to his research, Drayer teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in sport marketing and finance.
