James Reese
Associate Professor, SUNY Cortland
Dr. James Reese is an associate professor and graduate coordinator in the SUNY Cortland Sport Management Department. Prior to arriving at SUNY Cortland, Dr. Reese was a member of the Division of Sports Administration at Ohio University and coordinated the undergraduate Sport Management program. His primary research area is ticketing and ticket operations.
Dr. Reese has a wealth of sport industry experience. He served as the Vice President of IFSA/USA (International Federation of Strength Athletes), the United States governing body for the sport of professional strongman from July 2002 until November 2003. In 2004 and 2005, he worked as a sponsorship consultant for Curb-Agajanian Performance Group, a NASCAR Nationwide Series and Craftsman Truck Series race team. Dr. Reese also served as a ticketing administrator with the Denver Broncos Football Club from 1996-1999 where he was involved in the ticket planning and execution of Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII.
