Dr. James Reese is an associate professor and graduate coordinator in the SUNY Cortland Sport Management Department. Prior to arriving at
SUNY Cortland,
Dr. Reese was a member of the Division of Sports Administration at Ohio University and coordinated the undergraduate Sport Management program.
His primary research area is ticketing and ticket operations.

Dr. Reese has a wealth of sport industry experience. He served as the Vice President of IFSA/USA (International Federation of Strength Athletes), the United States governing body for the sport of professional strongman from July 2002 until November 2003. In 2004 and 2005, he worked as a sponsorship consultant for Curb-Agajanian Performance Group, a NASCAR Nationwide Series and Craftsman Truck Series race team. Dr. Reese also served as a ticketing administrator with the Denver Broncos Football Club from 1996-1999 where he was involved in the ticket planning and execution of Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII.
